Fellowship Opportunities with The Center
Fogarty International Center is the international component of the NIH, which addresses global health challenges through innovative and collaborative research and training programs. Since its formation 40 years ago, Fogarty has served as a bridge between the NIH and the greater global health community – facilitating exchanges among investigators, providing training opportunities and underwriting promising research initiatives in low-and middle-income countries.
The Australia-China Exchange Fellowship is a grants program funded by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). This fellowship supports Australian health researchers to study in China and aims to increase collaboration between Australian and Chinese health and medical researchers by supporting exchange between the two countries.
Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD)
The AYAD program aims to strengthen mutual understanding between Australia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and make a positive contribution to development. The program achieves these aims by placing skilled young Australian (18-30) on short-term assignments in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region. AYAD volunteers work with local counterparts in host organisations to achieve sustainable development outcomes through capacity building, skills transfer and institutional strengthening.
